I'll address your points one by one, giving you examples of JRPG's this gen:

1 - Lost Odyssey; Classical JRPG Turn based game with little to no action oriented gameplay
2 - That's why I've been saying about the Graphical Upgrades only
3 - Pretty much every JRPG released since the PS2, they could simply add VA to every line of dialogue in the game that was relevant
4 - Lost Odyssey once again; It has a perfect World Map that really reminds you of the PS1 FF days
5 - Once again, they only needed to change the graphical input of the enemies and their animations

You see, other than upgrading the graphics, adding VA's, doing new animations and doing everything in the HD style, the similar feeling of the game can be pretty much kept.

And by this I mean the same combat mechanics, the materia system, the story, the minigames, everything can be kept the same and still work.

funny you use LO as the example... ya kno, the game that criticised for being to traditional.
