The FF remakes for DS have shown us that a remake focused solely on upgraded graphics can be remade, everything else is just speculation. If the formula worked for past generations, it still can work on the current generation. I'll take the example of one of the most requisited games for a remake, FFVII. What, or why, do you think that they could or would change from the original game to a HD remake, and give me an example of why the original formula wouldn't work nowadays. |
Lets see: 1. battle system - in a gen where console JRPG battle systems are becoming more action focused FF7 is outdated they would have to upgrade it 2. pre rendered backgrounds - everything would have to be remade in 3D FF has had those since the PS2 age 3. Sound - VA's and updated OST 4. the world map - it would have to be remade to look like FF12 and 13( seemless) 5. Graphics - Character/monster models/ Animations/ physics i mean JRPG's have changed alot since PS1 days.... everything about FF7 would need to change EVERYTHING...nothing about original FF7 could fly on todays tech
