UK retailers cut Xbox 360 arcade Price Cut By A Third!

Why are these retailers so desperate to dump X360 stock, that they would (probably) take a loss to rid themselves of it?

Hoping to make it back on software, I guess?  Over-ordered for the holidays, just trying to clear stock?
