The Xbox 360 is pretty Japanese focused in Japan as well. The issue is that Japanese Xbox 360 games are generally more niche than the established IPs on both Sony and Nintendo systems. That niche appeal is immediately obvious when you look down the list. The Xbox 360 has positioned itself as a "hardcore otaku" (and yes I'm aware that otaku is a dirty label there. They look down on them) console over there. It's not for the mainstream gamer.
