i dont play like a coward. im the kind a guy who likes 5 minute chess games tension and real time combat. But if the game is engineered to kick your ass whats the point. If i could 1v`1 you in demon souls ill show you how noob i am apparently
Why must i agree with you guys anyways? i never said Demon souls was bad. I said Dragon age is better because i will be able to experience the full game. Please dont assume evr1 likes to waste time dying and losing souls. Some people like to experience a full game and move on.
Dude i was giving an example with a boulder and please dont lie most people have said they die countless times, and people die very frequently so stop acting like you pro by acting like a coward playing japanese style? Kamikaze was not that effective in the World wars you know. This Thread asks which game you prefer! whether im a noob or not has nothing to do with the thread there is a reason why dragon age origins has sold alot more and is more palatable than demon souls so get off your high horse.
I would rather play
Mass Effect >> Fable 2, All Final Fantaies> All Grandias >All Diablos before Demon Souls ive completed All games, on normal to hard settings so if you guys think that you have not died in an embarrasing way in a game, then your egos are too big. Grow some balls and come down to earth

WOW rofl. I don't know what to say. First off the Kamikaze campaign was highly effective in WW2. It's because our government calculated and realized the insane amounts of casualties that the fruition of the Manhattan Project was taken into effect with the 2 A-bombs. So starting with that it is YOU my friend who comes off as nothing more than an ignorant troll. I would assume that somehow a person with many more posts than me would be slightly more experienced as not to come off as said ignorant troll.
Back on topic. Grandia series, FF's, dragon age, mass effect are all great games in their own right (notice I don't mention Fable 2, I enjoyed Fable 1 a bit though). Demon's Souls is a niche action/rpg. Did I die several times? Yes. But I was also able to reduce my deaths dramatically by the time I reached the end of the Tower of Latria (yes those mages ripped me a new one at the beginning). The examples you give are really weak ones and come off as trolling. My problem with dragon age were the following: the PC version was clearly the superior game as opposed to the 360/PS3 versions. With that being said, it was a little glitchy to the point that it bothered me, frames, interface being slightly buggy, etc. Then going into the AI...it was more of a hassle than help. I felt like I had to babysit my characters and the amount of micromanaging was absurd. Yes BG2 was plagued by this AI woe but to a lesser extent. I personally liked BG2 a bit at the time as well as Icewind Dale.
Dragon Age Origins was not a bad game by any means but offered more headaches in different departments as opposed to just 1 or 2. Graphically it wasn't anything impressive (although some can argue the PC version's superiority which is true, but I am pointing out the PS3 version and the slightly inferior Xbox 360...yes, check gamespot for this as they agree with me).
Demon's Souls is by no means an easy game, and it is expected for you to die quite a few times at the beginning. It is meant to either temper you and teach you, or make you start crying OR get really angry and go back to playing Pokemon (some fell into the latter....which btw, Pokemon can be a fun game if you give it a chance). The feeling of utter desolation, that feeling of despair can only be comparable to that first time I played Silent Hill and Silent Hill 2.
The game in itself is a full fledged dungeon crawler (if the Tower of Latria doesn't make you realize this, I don't know what will. It can be very rewarding the moment you realize that you can completely dominate red eyed knights, or that first time you killed the Tower Knight by ways of melee alone. StrifeHawkins my friend, I would hate to see your reaction when you fought the Maneater (which becomes 2) on that bridge (assuming you made it that far). The story is definitely vast but given to you in more subtle ways. Best example *OMG SPOILERS********************** pay attention to that world you cannot access with the broken rock. That was Surt the Silent Chief's world. He ended up betraying the cause of preserving order. King Allant's reliance in the Demon's Souls are what pushed him to summon the Old One. Ostrava son of Allant goes on a crusade to cleanse the kingdom on his own, who then you end up saving in several occasions. Biorr of the Twin fangs was one of the "knights of the round" of king allant, and a legendary warrior who partially aids you. Executioner Miralda went mad throughout these events (as her name implies, she is noone to laugh at). And this is just the surface. 5-1 should show you the Crusade of the high priestess and her knight, etc. There is plenty of story in this game and plenty of replayability. Aside from new game +, there are many things to unlock such as going through perfect White World Tendency and Black. This affects characters you encounter with more side stories. I have yet to see Mephistopheles and Rydell, among others, along with their side quests/assasinations/stories, etc.
Demon's Souls is a game with many layers (oh I forgot 2 endings that I know of). It may come off as ridiculously hard to some, but for those that stick around, an amazing and rich game awaits them.......

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)
I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/ hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.
