Well for me, if it's a primarily a US based company/website then I tend to think of the US site as the primary one and the others as off-shoots, so to speak. I'm from the US and even though I'm not in the country for now, I still visit the US version of sites so I tend to regard those more highly than I would a secondary site from the same company (e.g. IGN AU).

That's entirely based on sentiment, though, not based on content, quality, arguments of said sites (which is probably the only reason to like or dislike a site of this nature)
