Is Star Ocean 4 last hope worth buying

I ended up hating SO4. First of all, it's buggy and can erase hours worth of grinding at will. Also, the characters are annoying as hell. Oh, and the story is lame. So all in all--no, don't buy it. Crappy game. Get Lost Odyssey if you want a game like that.
