ACII deserves any award it gets. It's a fantastic game. ACII and MW2 have been taking up all my gaming time, and I think they both deserve incredible accolades. I don't think MW2 is a huge step past the first game, but the first game was amazing, so is more of the same a bad thing in this case? No.
ACII is like ACI on steroids. There is a lot more variety, a lot more story, a lot more characters, and a lot more to collect. Graphics are about the same, maybe a bit better. The controls are still a bit annoying, but all in all, it's absolutely fantastic. I've been describing it to people as Tomb Raider, GTA, an RPG, and The DaVinci Code all rolled up into one. There's something here for everyone.
