I think definitely Microsoft. Sony can't afford it, they're still waiting to make profit on the ps3. No, I think they will be last to bring out their next console. As for nintendo, they are the winner this gen and they will want it to last as long as possible. Microsoft was first this gen by a year and their sales are starting to go down. It also depends on what natal will do. It may even be part of their next system launch.

If we were talking launching the next console first in 2010 that's one thing, no Sony wouldn't be in the best position to laucnh one now, even though we don't actually know what they can/cannot afford for certain.

If we're talking 2012/2013, I can very well see them coming out first, as I could Microsoft. Being last to market can also hurt your prolonged sales, a lesson Sony is now having to learn as well.

No, no one will be releasing a console in 2010. I think it'll start in 2011 at the earliest and 2012 at the latest. I see what you're saying that there is an advantage in releasing a console first, but it doesn't mean they will win the gen, which this gen has proved. I think it would be extrememly stupid for sony to release a system first. The next set of systems will start releasing soon after sony starts to make a profit on ps3. Are they gonna release a new system to start in the hole again?
