Its only cheaper if he doesnt have the original game already.   

 

Even if he has the original game already it is cheaper to buy the GOTY edition than it is to buy the DLC.

Best Buy has both the 360 and PS3 versions for $60,  Amazon, has it for $57 for each version.   Each DLC pack is $10,  for a total of $50 for all 5.   So how is $50 not cheaper than $57 or even $60?

if you but the goty instead of just the dlc you can turn around and sell the original copy of the game

I myself bought the game of the year edition on sale for 29.99 and then returned later in the day to the same store and sold them my original game for 37.50.
