I actually mostly agree with you. When I hear a person with a very distinct and recognizable voice it does break the immersion. I have not heard the actors in ME2 enough (other than Sheen) to really recognize the voice. I will most likely not have any issues regarding this with ME2. ME2 looks great so far and I am really looking forward to picking up the game.

exactly. never played ME so i have no clue about this game in specific but owen wilson's voice in Cars really wrecked the experience for me (as an example).

Theres nothing wrong with using seasoned veteran actors, especially well suited Sci-fi actors who have been doing human/alien lifeform voices for years.

Owen Wilson is a joke. He's only big because of his brother and his ties with Ben Stiller.

which is why i put out the part about me not critisizing ME in particular. i'm really just going off-topic on the observation that a lot of people are excited by the big names while my general reaction is always the opposite.
