My friend's laptop was recently broken because the monitor won't turn on so she gave it to me. I have no idea why really, but I'm not complaining. I don't need/want it so I am seeling it for broken parts/repair. She bought it for around $1,500 As I have never sold anything on the internet before, how should I price it? It is only about a year or two old. No real visible damage besides a few small scratches on the outside. Also, where should I be selling it? There is no problem with hardware as it works fine with an outside monitor. So the Monitor is the only thing broken.
It is a HP Pavillion 9700. Not sure on exact specs but here are some pics (fugly floor. I know):
