To be fair, I believe Slime was referring to the myth of global warming being caused by humanity, which is a myth.

CO2 is a greenhouse gas, it allows sunlight to pass through it but traps heat.  Man has put more CO2 into the atmosphere through deforestation and the use of hydrocarbons.  Man is in the very least partially responsible for global warming.

It's true that is has an effect, but that effect on the global temperature is practically non-existant. This is almost entirely a thing of nature, and is beyond our control.

Practically non-existent?  The ice caps melt while you make that claim.

Water vapor, CO2, and many other greenhouse gases have a huge affect on heat in our atmosphere.  More greenhouse gas and the temperature goes up, less and it goes down, its a direct relationship.

The icecaps have melted before... back when there weren't any humans.

Global warming is a NATURAL occurance... the planets tempeture isn't constant.  It changes naturally in cycles.

Some basic things to consider.

A) Of man made sources of greenhouse gasses.  The most destructive come from... Livestock farming and animal flatuelence.  Vegetarianism would be more helpful for the enviroment then green energy.  I don't want to here anyone talk about green energy until they go vegetarian and preferably vegan.

Green energy won't help if we keep eating meat... which actually meat consumption is on a HUGE rise.  As India and China get richer and richer they eat more and more meat.  The richer a nation gets, the more meat it eats.  The real problem with those countries isn't greenhouse gasses due to getting richer... it's meat consumption due to getting richer.

Methane is 23 times more potent then CO2.

B) We put much less carbon in the air then is put in the air naturally.  Naturally CO2 levels rise and fall.  C02 isn't some magical thing that is always at equal.
