Part of the problem with FF currently is its over-saturation. This gen alone we've had around 45+ 'Final Fantasy' games (that's roughly 9 a year). And while its been 4 1/2 years since the last 'main' title, it would be a LOT worse if we got them even sooner. Even if they limited the games to only the main games (which fans would complain about), it would still seem like too much. Heck, people were complaining the series was getting out of control back on the PSX days, when we were only getting one main game and 1-2 side games a year. Pretty soon Kingdom Hearts is going to surpass the number of 'Final Fantasy' games released in the PSX...in one generation. Square has put ALL its eggs in one basket. And to keep that basket warm, they have to keep adding more and more eggs. |
I agree on that one. It's one of the problems. What I want is quality FF even if it's a spin-off games every year.
