That is what I used to think as well, before my PS3 started playing up on me, and I have looked after it really well, so in my case it cannot be down to the user.
Please people remember to state your reasons as well as saying yes or no.
Also remember that Sony used to lose money on the original PS3 as well, it is better to lose a small amout of money then lose everything right, so in my point of view, more sales would be welcome, finally most of the PS3's that do break also conviently break outside of warraty.
