I much preferred Kingdom Hearts 1. The story wasn't a convoluted mess, the first 3 hours wasn't spent in a boring tutorial and the dialouge wasn't as childish. I also hated the invisible barriers that locked you into combat in 2. 2 did have the better combat though and the better length. Even though I love both of them, overall 2 was honestly a mess.
