Obviously the Japanese have brand loyalty. For example Dreamcast and Saturn sold much better than the 360.

US consumers do as well. But not quite to the same extent as the Japanese.

sega consoles were better quality.

When it comes to the fail rate I agree. But when it comes to software quality, god no.

as far  games, i disagree too, even with the low userbase dreamcast have one of the first years line up ever.

especially in japan, just SEGA didn't have microsoft money to drag on 6 billion in losses.

Oh boy, I played just about everything the Dreamcast had and I completely disagree. Also the Saturn sold considerably better with a weaker library. Disagree if you want, but brand loyalty definitely plays a role.

MS losing 6 billion is completely irrelevant. Although that money spent has helped MS grow as a major console manufacture. To the contrary, Sony lost billions and have hurt the Playstation brand.
