Rune factory is a good starting place. I haven't played the wii version yet, but i've played the ds versions. Same idea as harvest moon but you save the world fight monsters and forge items along side growing crops and getting married. If you enjoy the farming aspects but want more of a challenge in growing crops get HM Tree of Tranquility for the Wii. The only downside to it IMO is load times. they aren't terrible though
