You know what, I don't see the whole comparison.

I also don't get why there are so many people bashing LBP's gameplay. The physics and all were absolutely amazing, and were it not for these physics, the game would not feel like it's worthy to be on a graphics-intensive next-gen console. Super mario brothers wii works for the wii because the wii focuses more on simplistic gameplay rather than realistic gameplay. LBP's gameplay and graphics are far more realistic, the presentation seems way better, and overall, the value of the game is much greater.

Yes, super mario brothers wii may beat LBP in single-player. If however you are to pick between which game to buy, and own both consoles, then I highly suggest buying LBP. Mario is mario, but it's the same formula all over again, just this time with multiplayer. Both games are refined, both games are great in their own sense, but LBP just OFFERS way more than SMB. That's my opinion anyway.

For example. You may get mario for wii, play it for weeks on end, but at one point or another, you'd have done the same thing several times over. In little big planet, it's not like that. The "story" levels actually have a lot to offer in terms of clothing, materials, etc. and then there's the whole online community.

From what I see, SMBwii is a bit too high-priced for a game that has barely evolved over years. Whooooo there's multiplayer, and that's great. But even then, LBP's multiplayer is much better in terms of the amount of co-operation possible, and the different ways to interact with your environment. LBP Is overall a much, much bigger game, and although SMB may be better at what it's actually "made to do" (not enough), it just doesn't meet the standards of next-gen gaming from my point of view.
