The frequency (Hz) doesn't make a difference unless you have a way to differentiate every other frame. 3D movies use polarization, and modern TV's do NOT have that technology built in.

These are a tv's that are 3D ready and there is actually a larger list running somewhere. and they're growing, we tested my 3D vision on a friends old hd tv that was 120 hz.  It worked perfectly fine and it wasn't on the list.

 

 

Also this form of 3D uses shutter glasses not Red and blue or any color combo.
