remember before this generation fully started. The general shapes of the three consoles had been revealed (but no sizes) and people were claiming that because the Wii is flat on both sides, you would be able to stack the PS3s flat side on top of it, then the convex top of the PS3 would help the 360 stack above it.
I doubt the Wii could take the weight, though the 360 might have helped stop PS3s getting dusty.
