I really enjoyed it, was basically a button masher but I have a feeling the farther along you get the harder enemies will require the combos you unlock/purchase. It is a blatant rip-off of God of War III, but there are worse games you could rip-off. This will be a first day buy for me, its great I enjoyed it since I wasnt impressed at all with Bayonetta and it was going to be one or the other for me.
