Interesting idea... but I seriously doubt it. And no, TV's are not "3D ready," unless you think they're going to do the cheesy blue/red 3D which I'm sure people will thoroughly reject.
The frequency (Hz) doesn't make a difference unless you have a way to differentiate every other frame. 3D movies use polarization, and modern TV's do NOT have that technology built in.
