No it isn't the first leap to VR. VR was the first leap to VR, and it failed. There are a lot of issues that come with attempting something on that scale. Either you can think of a way to address those issues and should bring them up, or you can't and are trying to distract people from the serious flaws. Personally I think you are just trying to obscure the flaws rather than address the legitimate criticisms.
