One thing I did wonder as I've never looked into it but do the controllers have built in protection to prevent overcharging? It's never a problem for me because I charge one controller while I play with the other usually but I did wonder if you can overcharge them and detroy the battery life in the long term (like you can with most rechargable batteries I hasten to add).

When the red light is flashing (while connected to the PS3 via the usb cable) it indicates that your controller is charging, and when it's not flashing it means that it's done charging. As the controller does this even when hooked up to a PC, I believe it does have built-in protection to prevent overcharging.


Cheers, I think it must have too but was just curious if some of the guys on here who read more Sony sites than me had seen something.  I did once charge mine on the 360 but that shuts off anyway after a while so I didn't notice (that was before I bought my dulashock).
