I think I have seen it, but I cant prove it. I've seen matches were two guys will have like 29 and thirty kills with about 30-35 deaths each. I suspected the same thing you did.
Oh and coolguy the javelin is hilarious as long as the person doesn't win the match due to it.
Hopefully, the problems can be fixed because it would be easy to abuse the respawn perk.
