As much as I think that this thread was poorly approached, I do believe that there is something that should be noted ... Sony has released 12 games so far this year and they have all sold somewhat poorly, and at the same time few are really all that critically acclaimed:
- Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (88.9% Gamerankings, 43,871 in North America)
- Ratchet & Clank Future (88.8% Gamerankings, 156, 260 in North America)
- Warhawk (84.2% Gamerankings, 160,135 in North America)
- MotorStorm (82.6% Gamerankings, 741,860 in North America)
- Heavenly Sword (81% Gamerankings, 200,834 in North America)
- MLB 07: The Show (77.9% Gamerankings, 194,157 in North America)
- Formula One Championship Edition (76.9% Gamerankings, 94,956 in North America)
- Folklore (75.7% Gamerankings, 59,318 in North America)
- Eye of Judgement (74.7% Gamerankings, 59,176 in North America)
- NBA 08 (66.2% Gamerankings, 25,150 in North America)
- Lair (56.5% Gamerankings, 158,795 in North America)
- Singstar (unrated, 9,460 in North America)
I'm not saying these games are bad, but it does make me wonder how this holiday season will go being that it doesn't look like Sony has produced much that can really drive sales.
