Or you could just call them all bastards and ignore everyone. It's worked well for me over the past few years. I don't see the point in accepting one asshole just because they are the antithesis to another asshole on the other side. I find it perfectly acceptable to despise both Rush Limbaugh and Ariana Huffington.

What makes you think I meant myself? I wasn't using first person in that comment you quoted. Note the words "other people". Your metaphor forgets there are those who listen to them blindly, but that the more reasonable of their listeners now realize how stupid the whole thing is. That's what should happen here.

And now that we have a counter voice, we need a Stephen Colbert. I could just see someone at an E3 conference mocking the mentality of the enthusiast gamers (not liking big games, but being reactionary to anything that changes the pattern of gaming they decided it should be).
