The Good
- The Medieval setting was the only interesting part of the story.
- Nel was hot.
- I remember seeing an option to turn off voices. More RPGs should have this.
Neutral
- Battle system was fun, but got old and was frustrating at times.
The Bad
- Story was dull, apart from the Medieval thing I mentioned before. I don't know what the hell happened after that. It was filled with stupid, random events like saving the flower girl, was cliche and had poor pacing. And don't get me started on the horrific plot twist. SO3 failed to keep me entertained.
- Dialogue was awful, and there was way too much of it. I wouldn't mind a lot of the dialogue, if you know, the story was good. Also the dialogue/voice would take a while to load. Fayt says something, and three seconds later, Cliff says something. Rinse and repeat.
- Terrible and annoying voice acting like Sophia for example. Also why are the voices so low? Not low as in a deep voice, but as in I could barely hear them at all.
- Characters are dull and shallow. There's nothing interesting about them, and what kind of name is Fayt Leingod?
- Unbalance difficulty from dungeon to dungeon. One dungeon would be easy to beat, but the next would be hard. The one after that would be easy, and repeat.
- Party member's AI are retarded. They would heal you when you're about to die. By the time they cast the healing spell, you're already dead. Also they would rush to an enemy's attacks.
- Commands were practically the same: "Don't hold back" "Fight with all your might," etc. For the longest time, I couldn't find a heal/support command.
- This is a small complaint, but I swear to God 95% of the treasure chests contained berries. Very, very few of them contained something good. Before I opened them, I would say to myself, "I bet this contains a berry," and whala, it was. I actually played the drinking shot game for this. If a chest contains a berry, take a shot. I wondered if I should even bother opening another chest.
- Enemies were annoying. They would mostly shield or counterattack your attack with paralysis attack when their fury was full. Also fat guy was annoying with his constant "My money!" or "I hate you."
- Backtracking was horrible.
- The item inventing thing was confusing. I tried to figure out how this thing works, but I never could. Most of the time, I created weapons weaker than the ones I had.
- You can die if your MP drops to 0. Fuck you to whoever thought this was a good thing.
- Music: The rockish, dungeon crawling tunes felt so out of place.
There's probably a whole lot more I forgot to mention, but I just hated the story, the cast was uninspiring and the AI was awful.
