hmmm, so he was only insured for other drivers. If he had coverage for himself and others then he would get money to fix it. This begs the question: Why don't we all just insure ourselves? If we did this and got hit we'd always get money, and if we didn't have insurance then we would be SOL instead of getting hit by someone who didn't have insurance and get nothing.
In short, liability insurance is a scam.
