and in the end, what we got from this thread is:
1.) Eastern and Western Games are Equal and its up to the person to judge their qualities.
2.) Companies should shut up about telling their consumers to "wisen" up to new genres because that's not how it works at all! Companies should cater to consumers' needs, not tell what a culture can or cannot do, or in this case, "buy". (Square Enix is getting on my nerves lately...they better hope FF13 is great or the respect i have for them will stay in the past...)
3.) Companies adapt to where the money is. So that means, western-influenced games will continue to be made while eastern-influenced games dwindle because western games sell better. (I'd like to point out that selling better does not mean its BETTER....read those words, memorize them, eat them. =P)
