Pros:
- Great soundtrack
- Good graphics and art-style
- Gameplay was good.
- Using Dante was awesome. He had a lot of skills and different weapons to choose from.
Cons
- Backtracking: For about half or 2/3rd of the game, you go from point A to point B. After you reached point B, you go all the way to point A. DMC4 didn't warrant the $60 price tag because of this and my next point. It felt like half a game.
- Repetitive: you fight the same three bosses three times in the same place. Very disappointing.
- Nero: He sucks compared to Dante. He doesn't have as many skills or weapons as Dante. Using his hand to jump over obstacles or reach places was frustrating. Oh and cheer up emo kid.
- Annoying camera in small areas
- Those red walls: in order to remove the red walls, you have to defeat all the enemies in that certain area. The thing is the red walls appear in every area you enter. It got old and annoying very fast.
- The story was interesting at first with the whole "Is Dante a friend or foe," but the story just lost it after a few hours in.
- Dice/board mini-game. So there's this little game that requires you to hit the dice (aka rolling the dice). A statue of you moves after you hit, and you have move the statue to break a seal. It was such a stupid waste of time. There's like 3 types of this in one level. WTF?
- Secret missions aren't really a secret. Nero's hand starts to glow when you're near a secret level. I found most of the secret missions because of this. Small complaint, but you know, it's suppose to be secret.
Score: 6.0/10
