Grand Theft Auto 4 and Halo 3, every 11 or 12 year old I know on XBL looovees them.

So true. lol. It's annoying to see 11 year old boys swearing at you on XBL but you know what? You're only 11/12 years old once. I say let them act like fools on XBL. I'm sure if I grew up in the Xbox Live era at that age instead of the PS1 era, I'd be doing the exact same thing. lol.

It's a shame that the nephew is being so sheltered like this. Kids are only kids once. Once you stop being a kid and find out that you have to start growing up, you'll regret it if you don't make the most out of being a kid. His mom needs to lighten up and let him play the violent M-rated games so that he can be all like "cool.... awesome... this is the greatest game evar!" and call old geezers like me a n00b on XBL.

This generation of kiddies these days though, it's a risky generation. With all this Youtube, Facebook and Myspace stuff. With these Dateline predator type of scenarios. So you absolutely do need supervision though. It's tough being a parent I admit. Because not all kids have the common sense to know not to end up making themselves a laughing stock on youtube/facebook/myspace or to avoid getting into a Dateline type of scenario.

They keep him away from most of that type of stuff by keeping him highly active in church, sports, and going to cultural events.  He's on the golf, basketball, and summer kids' baseball league.

And last summer he went to Coach Calipari's summer basketball camp for kids.
