Is Alan Wake looking like it´ll be, let´s say..."this gen´s Silent Hill 2"?

Many people consider Silent Hill 2 one of the best horror games ever...then SH4 and Homecoming seemed to have disappointed many.

 

I must say, Alan Wake looks better and better everytime something new about it is released...but do you think "this gen´s SH2" is way too premature?..or not quite?
