A. Burn in's still occur. It usually happen within the first week or month or something like that. If you put the brightness up. To reduce the chances of burn ins you should watch it during the "break in" period with the brightness a little lower.

B. People arent going to walkin a best buy and see a 360 tv deal and ps3 tv deal then decide. These deals are probably selling to people who know what they want already and best buy is just trying to win their business over other retailers.

sry i don't want to be rude but point A is bullshit. i had my plasma for 2 months and no burn ins you guys only read articles on the internet right. its my gaming tv so i do alot of gaming and no signs of burn ins. picture qaulity is better than LCD in terms of realism but LCD looks more colorful like purple showing as almost blue in color thats why people wsay LCD>plasma when in realism plasma>LCD. i have a 42 inch panasonic plasma and 42 inch LG LCD so i can compare both.

Don't want to be rude but... read what I said "reduce the chances" there is always a chance to get them... just turns out you were lucky. Do you play any games and just leave the game on the same picture for a couple of hours? I doubt it.
