@ Sqiuilliam: I might just do that. Though 2nd hand prices at the moment are higher than what the Platinum price will eventually be (I got UC:DF platinum new for $50 (~$30 for you Yanks)).
@ jneul: I went the entire PS2 generation with 1 rule: never buy a single game new (platinum or otherwise). I broke that rule this gen on the day I bought my PS3 (6 games new, plus InFamous bundled), and I've broken it a few times since. But this generation my new, slightly less tight wad, rule is: never buy a game at the launch price. I haven't broken that rule yet and I don't intend to for any game. OK I've broken the rule for PSN games, but that's different, they're already at a reasonable price ($9.50 for Pixeljunk Monsters).
