All those awards at the bottom of the NA cover ruin it. And I love how SCEA gives the shaft to SCEE devs. Guerrilla's logo was relegated to the back of the Killzone 2 boxart for North America, much like Quantic Dream's here. Meanwhile Naughty Dog and Insomniac's logos are smack dab at the center bottom of the uncharted 2 and Ratchet & Clank boxarts.

I guess seeing as they are some of Sony's most known devs, and Quantic & Guerrilla aren't, they like to show them off.

As for the boxarts, I like them, but think they aren't the offivial ones after some extensive research.

But they get front and center attention on the SCEE covers of such games.  And up until this gen, Sony never bothered naming their devs.  Sony Santa Monica didn't even bother creating a logo for themselves until the GoWIII demo dropped.  One of Sony's aims this gen has been to make their first party titles more famous, because they now depend on those titles to differentiate themselves from the competition.  Hence the creation of the "Only on PlayStation" logo, and the much increased marketing for their first party titles.  They're also doing it to help create fanbases for their devleoeprs as opposed to their respective franchises (kinda like how Bungie has grown an incredibly large fanbase).  But for some reason SCEA is giving SCEE devs the shaft.

As for the boxart, the NA is clearly a promotional boxart. The "Coming Soon" at the top makes that pretty obvious.  We get cover art like that in all the time at GameStop, to put in our upcoming releases section.
