I said earlier that I've liked some of Malstrom's writings when they stuck to the topic at hand and when he laid off personal attacks. I'm not going to repeat everything I do and do not like about Malstrom in every post.
He doesn't take "publicly published opinion pieces" a lot of the time. He jacks a quote from some random dude and then proceeds to make the poor guy look like an asshole. Most of the time, his point could be make more effectively without the quote, making his placement of it unnecessary and mean-spirited.
And yes, I am biased. I DO NOT like the guy. But, once upon a time, I had no opinion of him and early on, my opinion of him was actually favorable. I don't get off on seeing people attack one another, especially when the insults descend past the point of it involving only their professional career. Believe it or not but I actually find it extremely distasteful.
