Sony went for bleeding edge technology and way to many risks at a single time.
That's how. They could have taken the Wii approach and just do small tweaks to the system and called it PlayStation 3, but the Playstation loyalist don't want that and never accept that (PSP Go and PSX stand up and say hello)
