It is only possible on FFXIII release week. FFXIII week (FFXIII in Japan only of course) should see better PS3 sales in Americas than BF week, because that is pretty much the universal trend: last weekend before Christmas sees better sales than BF week. If Others sees sales lifting along the same weekly percentage as 2008 Others should get pretty close to 400K on FFXIII week. So Americas at least 476K (almost certainly more), and Others at least 400K gives us at least 876K. Meaning FFXIII in Japan needs to lift PS3 sales in Japan to 124K for the cool million.

That's all very doable, unless there is a big surprise coming from the 360 in the next couple of weeks. I doubt Wii could do anything to influence PS3 sales because Wii is the sales king anyway and it's the guy behind you that can give you a nasty surprise, not the one in front.

it could have been doable if more ps3's were bought in japan lol, i mean you only have to look at the 44k ps3's sold there and it does not stop there the wii sold around that amount as well, with just the ds dominating in sales

i was hoping for 1 mill, not expecting tho, anyway it does not matter because the sales are still very very good,...
