Im gonna repeat myself, im not judgin if Sony is on the cutting edge of technology or not. But your argument has nothing to do with your conclusion. You could have the worst credit rating ever and the company with worst sale and still be on the cutting edge of technology. You need examples to prove that they are not on the cutting edge of technology, everything you bring up may be right but doesnt prove your point.

Edit: between you and me, you probably can find good examples of them not being cutting edge. But there are also example the way around like the fact that  they will be the first company to push 3D next year with all kinds of device. You cannot be cutting edge everywhere but they are in some things like blue-ray included in a game console 3 years ago.
