Sony will release a few strong games at the beginning of the year and then roll into summer with a limited line-up, relying on third parties. They will then come back strong in late 2010 with a number of holiday titles and exclusive third party titles. Sony profits from PS3 will go up. PSP however will continue to drop to all time lowes with PSPGo failing to make an impact in either the DS or iPhone markets. [Massive prediction] Sony will unveil plans to develop a new handheld device to target the iphone market.
Microsoft will continue to lose their foothold to Sony, pointing fingers at everyone else (customers, third parties, Nintendo) and claiming they're at fault all the while handing out empty promises such as 'Natal' and 'Exclusive content in the future'. They will end the year with lower profit margins than this year.
Nintendo will have multiple medium and high priority first party titles hit, but suffer the same fate as usual with sparse third party support and limited advertising. It will be a mixed bag as Nintendo mostly continues to run on their initial popularity and DS sales and finds Wii sales and software take a further hit in 2010, even with the inclusion of Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M. News of Zelda Wii will hit at E3.
