You're OP has just one BIG problem, it's saying that a NON--full Gran Tursimo release is an indication of what the first FULL Gran Turismo will do.

1st week - 1.2-1.5mill

LTD - 9-10mill.

I put that in there because i figured it was a good representation of the amount of hardcore gt fans.

But it really isn't, as it's just a P{rologue. GT is Sony's biggest franchise. It will sell 9-10mill at the least, especially considering how Gran Turismo games just keep on selling and selling. You don't go from a 9-15mill sales record, to just 4.5mill.

Prolouge isn't bought by all hardcore GT5 fans, as CGI said. I *love* Gran Turismo (I still play GT4 almost weekly), yet I didn't buy GT5: Prologue. Same with my friends (many of whom bought GT4: Prologue) but will still buy GT5 first day.

Whic is why his 4.5mill LTD prediction is not only laughable, but will HARDLY be the case.

Exactly, that why I estimated earlier that it'll sell 8-10 million, but wouldn't be surprised if it went up near 12 million if GT6 takes a few years (3-4) to launch.
I think the fact that every PS3 owner I know plans to buy GT5, but not one of us has GT5:P, should show that GT5:P isn't going to get close to the final product. GT5:P is a glorified demo, whereas GT5 will be "the real driving simulator".
