CaptainPreferences was, quite literally, the very definition of the term "sophomore", in opinion, worldview, attitude, ego, and grade level... I checked his profile, merely a husk now, and found out that he was in the 10th Grade when he left the site due to atomic banhammer... Yes, he was in the tenth grade, AKA Sophomore Year at Academic Level... Although his words and views were quite offensive, they would be even less forgivable (as if that is possible, some would say) if he were educated to a Collegiate level, i.e. College-educated or even simply College-bound... Some would say he was an ass; others would argue that he was simply a product of his environment. I say that he simply didn't give a flying fuck what people thought of him, or about whom his opinions would hurt, even though he himself was among that number... What I'm trying to say is that while he shouldn't be treated too gently, he should also not be judged too harshly... I admit I myself am guilty of the sin of intolerance towards him, but, that being said, bad blood tends to run pretty deep and he probably wouldn't return to this site even if his ban were revoked...
