yes in some random interview years ago nomura said "we designed her to look like cloud"

but now she looks nothing like cloud & most of all after reading about her backstory, its confirmed that she is nothing like cloud either

OMG, i didn't realise you were this stupid.

I was making a sarcastic joke.

In the real world for lightning to occur you need clouds. without clouds you won't get lightning. It had absolutely nothing to do with character linking.
