Everyone wants to be English until they realise they never can be. Luckily for America we can still allow you to denounce the Republic and become a monarchy at any point. Do it, you know it makes sense. lol, you think that's up to you, huh?

In Europe we are known as the 'Land of the Angels'. Probably because they realised early on that God himself is on our side.

why the hell would any country want to BECOME a monarchy? your very own monarchy is founded upon a tradition of inbreeding and outdated values. and horsey faces. It is well-known that the Queen is nothing more than a "figurehead" and serves no real purpose, the English are just fond of the old girl and her corgis. The only thing she's actually REQUIRED for is the Royal Assent, and the last time that was refused was hundreds of years ago .

Anyway, it was a Scottish King who forcibly united the Kingdoms not an English one. We tried to blow the buggar up remember? The Act of Union only passed when both parliaments wanted it. Let's not try to put all the credit of the Empire on the English. The Irish and Scots more than played their part, a little too well sometimes.

I'm always suprised when the Scottish get riled at the word Scotch. It's no different than calling the fnerch, frogs or the English rosbeefs. You are what you eat and all that.
