Can Lightning (FF13) become MORE POPULAR than Cloud (FF7)?!!

Or rather, Lightning will be the most popular FF character until FF 13 Versus arrives with Noctis (Lightning's popular will unfortuntely be short lived).

why oh why would you think like that.

1. FF Versus 13 WILL be seen as a spin-off in the eyes of the public like it or not

2. It won't sell as much as FF13....nowehere near

3. Noctis once again seems to have many things that I personally don't like about FF characters....but we'll see

4. His look & feel is designed to be very "japanese/asian" according to nomura in ainterview a while back, so I don't know how he will appeal to the masses here

Who cares Versus will sell less,i can see Noctis in a movie like Advent Children,but i dont see Lighting in a movie,she is just...fake
