The main point I was trying to get at was not the PS2 console being able to be bought. It was it is still being supported in a heavy way. Why would anyone want to upgrade to a PS3 when they have a PS2 still getting brand new games? People are not going to buy a new console for $300 unless their current one is getting nothing new
