First post!
I've read this forum for about a year now, and always wanted to post, but never registered.
Numbers great all around, with the exception of the 360 and the PSP. I would think MS would drop the price of the 360 by $50 to help boost sales, but frankly, I really don't think this will help until Q4 2010 when Natal, Halo Reach and Fable 3 are released, even then, these are established IPs and would do little to boost sales (Natal on the other hand is the wildcard). Sony has a huge lineup for H1 2010. New IPs, MAG and Heavy Rain, with veteran exclusives, God of War and Gran Turismo set to make their first appearance on the PS3. I suspect the latter two will sell north of 5 million and will push consoles, which would help close the global gap (I expect it to be 5 million by the end of this holiday season). I would expect Final Fantasy XIII to move some hardware for both consoles (more so on the PS3). One thing I think Sony has done great is putting out new IPs and reaching a larger audience than the 360. All you have to do it look at the top selling games between the two consoles and it becomes obvious that a good chuck of the PS3's top selling games are new IPs.
2011 Predictions
Wii: 17m (100 million total)
360: 13m (63 million total)
PS3: 15m (61 million total)
