| Khuutra said: "Welcome, my son Welcome to the machine" More power in two lines (particularly in context of that album) than some bands have in their entire careers. Chills me to the bone. I once had a discussion with a friend of mine where he proposed that Pink Floyd was pretty much the only band in history who exclusively released albums as opposed to collections of songs. I don't know that I agreed with him at the time - I don't think I do now either, especially not after becoming more familiar with Bob Dylan's work - but I can't argue against the idea that they took the idea of the album as far as logically possible. |
this is true to an extent, some say they invented the concept album, but i wouldn't know, still they are a great band from the late 1960's where they were very psychdelic and their songs just used to go on and on and on.....and gilmour still tours to this day, personally i love gilmours voice,
anyway did you know that when the BBC covered the moon landing live, they had pink floyd live in studio to jam alongside the pictures,i saw it on a doco, how cool is that, those were the days, find it if you can,
also please there are 5 english bands you just don't insult or mess with and they are The Beatles,The Rolling Stones,Pink Floyd,The Who and Led Zeplin........show some respect as they earn't the right,
